Protocol vs Pep AI

AI-powered peptide tracker

Which peptide tracking app is right for you?

Our Verdict

Protocol wins on privacy and complete protocol tracking. Pep AI wins on bloodwork.

Pep AI is one of the most feature-rich competitors and is growing fast — they just added bloodwork tracking and an interaction checker. But Protocol has features Pep AI can't match: you can track peptides, supplements, AND daily habits in one unified protocol with one adherence score. Protocol's data stays on your device with no account required. Pep AI requires an account and cloud sync. Protocol's bloodwork and interaction checker are coming in the next version.

Frequently asked questions

Does Protocol have a compound interaction checker?

Not yet as a dedicated feature — it's coming soon. The AI Research Assistant can answer interaction questions conversationally right now. Ask 'Can I combine BPC-157 and TB-500?' and get a detailed answer. A structured interaction checker UI is on the roadmap.

Does Protocol have bloodwork tracking?

Coming in the next version. You'll be able to log key biomarkers (testosterone, IGF-1, estradiol, thyroid panels, and more), see trend charts, and correlate lab results with your protocol timeline. Already marked as Coming Soon on protocolapp.health/features.

Does Pep AI store data on your device?

Pep AI requires an account and syncs to the cloud. Protocol stores everything locally on your device — no account required, no cloud sync, and Apple has verified Data Not Collected. For users tracking sensitive compounds, Protocol's privacy model is meaningfully different.

Can Pep AI track supplements and habits alongside peptides?

No. Pep AI tracks peptides and recently added nutrition and bloodwork, but doesn't combine peptides, supplements, and daily habits into a single unified protocol the way Protocol does. The Injury Protocol example — TB-500 + BPC-157 + PT rehab + daily collagen — can only be tracked as one protocol in Protocol.
